MadSnail and Viajes Costa Rica Verde is pleased to present their last adventure to the heart of Costa Rica, following the Route of Conquistadors.

It is a 16 days trip and is bursting with action. We will show you the lesser known side of this gorgeous country, which is perfect for nature lovers and people fond of adventure.
Geographically we will progress from the jungles of the South Pacific, Corcovado, to the volcanoes in the Guanacaste region with its most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.

As we know, Costa Rica, has most biodiversity in the world and has an endless species of birds, mammals, reptiles and insects. On our way we'll explore all of the ecosystems that the country offer including rain forest, cloud forest, dry forest, mangroves, beaches & corral riffs, valleys, and volcanoes.
You'll have the chance to explore jungles in search of boa constrictor and other plenitude of creatures that it has to offer, like famous bullet ant and dart frog. A chance of going whale-watching and looking for dolphins is something that you shouldn't miss, and we promise that by the end of the trip seeing sloth in its natural habitat or having tucan cross your way will be less exciting then a though of cold costa rican beer. Wilderness of Costa Rica will be at your fingertips and will offer plenty of chances for adventure, meeting people from all over the world, and having awsome time!

Just a note: you will also have plenty of free time, and will have an opportunity to chose to do what you like most. We try to balance, between free time and time with the group.

ITINERARY:
DAY 1: FLIGHT SPAIN-SAN JOSE: We arrive in San Jose, and after a long hard journey we will check in, and will have time to relax, then we will have a reunion with the two guides, and we go to dinner at a restaurant typical "Tico".
DAY 2: CORCOVADO: Soon we move in the morning to the airport where we expect our transfer air to the area of virgin jungle and Corcovado.
DAY 3: CORCOVADO: This must devote full day to explore the jungle, we'll route several hours and learn more about the secrets of the wilderness, then time to relax in the pool in the hotel
Day 4: CORCOVADO: We will visit the Biological Station on Isla del Cano, prepare!, because this place is wonderful and we will fell in love with it, carry cameras with you, we can find some very interesting animals.
DAY 5: DOMINICAL: Today we will have our first boat and land transfer to the the South Pacific, a wonderful place and not so open to the public that still retains a special charm of the real Costa Rica, check in, and free time to explore .
DAY 6: DOMINICAL: Today we can make a tour for those who wish to go to Ballena Marine National Park, still in the hunt for new species of animals, and whales in the ocean, this is a great place to dive, those who have the licence. Those who wish may stay placidly on the beach.
DAY 7: MONTEZUMA: Today we head back to the airport for our second air transfer, thus saving time on tedious and dirt roads, and above will have a wonderful bird's eye view of the Pacific, we headed to Tambor, where our 4x4 cars we will be expecting us. From there we will go to Montezuma with our cars, free afternoon to explore with the cars and so we can move more freely where we like, just ask to guides and they will show you things that you can see around.
DAY 8: MONTEZUMA: Today is a day off, we can do many things, maybe someone you fancy a trip to Turtle Island to spend a quiet day, perhaps others want to go with the 4x4 to the Waterfall to stick to a cool bath or simply be on the beach with cocktails.
DAY 9: PLAYA CARRILLO: Today we are going with the 4x4 north on the Nicoya peninsula adjacent to the Pacific, we can make stops to see some villages or even observe the animals that we find along the way, to the beautiful Playa Carrillo.
DAY 10: PLAYA CARRILLO: Today is day off, we want to explore, we can assemble a convoy outside and explore our way, for this we have the 4x4 right?
DAY 11: PLAYA HERMOSA: We continue to explore even further north, each time we see new things and we are closer to the famous Volcán Rincón de la Vieja, but we will leave it for tomorrow and have a full day, maybe today we can go see cultivation of sugarcane very important for this country
DAY 12: PLAYA HERMOSA: Today yesss! the morning and the breeze will take us to the Volcano wonderful place taken from the age of dinosaurs, we have most of the day there, then we can go to the beach for a swim.
DAY 13: LA FORTUNA: Now we move away from Nicoya and Guanacaste region which was the heart of Costa Rica, now we head to the Central Valley with a stop at the famous Fortuna de San Carlos, where there are millions of things to do, between which highlights the Rafting or Canyoing.
DAY 14: LA FORTUNA: Free day for each so you can go to do activities that you've decided, it would take all day, so later we can go to the baths to relax muscles after a hard day paddling in the river .
DAY 15: SAN JOSE: We return to the capital to spend the last night before going home after the events we have lived in this great adventure in Costa Rican land, yes, before we go home you should stop by the central market worth seeing and worthy to have a beer at the bar, the most authentic place to have a beer with the locals!
DAY 16: END OF THE TRIP: Time to go back home wherever it is! We hope that the trip has been a joy for all and we hope you to return for a new adventure from MadSnail and Viajes Costa Rica Verde.
