The scoop on the folks at StageFrightz Productions

StageFrightz Productions is an independent movie group, headquartered in northeastern North Carolina. We currently focus on the horror/strange tales genre.



StageFrightz unofficially began in 2001, with the making of a "how-not-to-make-a-movie" mockumentary about UFO sightings in a fabricated, rural South community. It consisted of plenty of ad-libbing, mixed with "extra-effort-to-make-them-lame" special effects. Our main regret at the time was that the film actually DID have all of the following: a beginning, climax and resolution - a major no-no for a flick about how not to produce movies.

It was produced under the banner of "No-Budgit Filmz", and the only cost spent making it was keeping a charge in the the VHS-C camcorder's battery. Nowadays, anyone involved with a StageFrightz Production cringes at the mention of the purposefully ill-fated "U.F.Oh-No!: Fact, Fiction, Delusion, Hysteria Or Outright Lying".

But did StageFrightz begin there, or was it already alive and thriving in the minds of young kids decades ago on the playground or in their wildest daydreams?

Officially, more or less, StageFrightz started with the filming of "The Barrows Man" (then unnamed) in late 2003, when like-minded fans of fascinating movies and stories were inspired to strike out on an adventure of their own.
