Dear friends,
As the honorary campaign staffer for the Facebook group 'Recall Jean Schmidt. Vote Bailey in March 4, 2008!', I have been obliged to spread some important news on other sites as well. As most of you hopefully know, there is an election approaching on March 4, 2008. Our current member of the House of Representatives is a woman named Jean Schmidt. However, there is a number of individuals vying for her place. One of them is a hard-working young man named Nathan Bailey, who hails from near the small village of Owensville, Ohio.
Nathan is currently employed as a staff accountant at Donovan Donohoo, Jr. & Associates, Inc, a CPA firm located in Milford, Ohio. For further information about his accomplishments, be sure to visit his website at www.nathanbaileyhq.com.
Nathan Bailey is a strong proponent for balancing the federal budget, believing that the key to reversing the net deficit is in reducing government spending as opposed to raising taxes. He believes that all children should receive an excellent education, and that advanced students as well as special needs students should be appropriately challenged. Bailey opposes the monster which standardized testing in schools has become. According to Bailey, "...a standardized test does not define the success or relative failure of a school. Our schools are supposed to teach and develop understanding. What we have now is a school system designed around test-prep and not creating well-rounded individuals. We must recognize that we have to embrace the individuality of each student, each school, and we do that at the lowest level of government possible."
In addition to these two issues, Nathan Bailey is a pro-life candidate, believing that all human life has the right to be born. He also is in favor of tightening border security, supporting the border fence and border monitoring technology.
My friends, this is but a mere sampling of the issues Nathan Bailey stands for. Again, if you would like to find out more, stop on by his website! If you are curious about an issue which has not been mentioned above, you may submit questions on his website and he will give you an answer.
I hope that you will consider voting for this candidate! If you are, please be sure to forward this to all your friends to help spread the news! Your support would be greatly appreciated.
May you all have a wonderful day, and God Bless!

Here is Bailey's most recent speech:
On Monday evening, January 28, 2008, Nathan Bailey addressed the Miami township Republican Central Committe with this eloquent speach. Please feel free to forward to your friends.
In 1830 when spending started to get out of control, a man from Kentucky humbly addressed his new colleagues n the House of Representatives. He began, as I do now, "I shrink at the idea of addressing so intelligent a body, but were I not fully convinced that there has been in some instance a partial and improper legislation reorted to during the present session," then I would not be here. My fellow Republicans, I am before you today in part because of the failings of the 110th congress, but more importantly, because I see a brighter future for America.
This brave young non-politician, much like myself, continued, addressing the excessive spending. "Their policy reminds me of a certain man in the State of Ohio, who, having caught a raccoon, placed it in a bag, and as he was on his way home he met a neighbor who was anxious to know what he had in his bag. He was told to put his hand in and feel, and in doing so he was bit through the fingers; he then asked what it was and was told that it was only a bite."
Friends, I fear our Democratic rivals have a hook and a bite for us; and if we don't unfasten the Republican Party from this "hook" now, we, along with those we represent, will suffer tremendously.
I understand, being in a race with two political powerhouses, that I have a long row to hoe before I may gain the nomination of this party. I ask that as you consider your options, you take into consideration three important facts. First, as we head into the future, the younger generations are not waiting for their turn, they are taking their turn. Second, two years ago, the incumbent was locked in a major battle with the democratic nominee and won by a mere 1%. Thirdly, realize that I will appeal to the independent voters, ad bring them back to the conservative side of the line, and by doing so, will be able to soundly defeat a democratic opponent.
As Mr. Crockett warned, "It was only a bite." If we don't take our party back, and stand on conservative principals, we will lose this district; a district once considered an automatic win for Republicans. I speak of an era when congressman Rob Portman won by landslides in the mid 70%'s.
But I remain optimistic. This is a presidential election year in a predominatly Republican district and we are a strong party; we have principals. So long as we have a Republican candidate that can connect with the people and unite the party, we will win this fall as we have for so many years.
This evening I ask you to concider givng me your blessing for this upcoming campaign. I represent the new generation; A breath of fresh air. We're here and we want to fix the problems left for us; NOW. Win the war on terror. Fix Social Security. Seal the border. Protect the family and the lives yet unborn. Restore trust in representation and improve the effectiveness of government. Thank you.
