I guess all interaction is up to all peoples involved whether they're o.c. / i.c.
There's many issues with going / being i.c. (More issues than i can shake a stick at and believe me my stick is pretty shakey)
So, i figure keep it simple, try not to be rude and PLEASE always consider the difference between what you know Out of Character and what you know In Character. Don't blend the two (it's cheating and takes the fun out of it - but you knew that already!)
