I'm building a network of recruiters (both agency and corporate) around the country, in the hopes of creating a group where recruiters can share ideas, make connections, and learn from each other.
I’ve noticed some other folks have tried to do similar groups on here in the past, but with minimal success (small amounts of members and no conversations posted). The difference here, though, is that I am relentless when I have a goal in sight, and I plan to keep building this group until it becomes the premier resource for recruiters on Myspace.
Myspace's "Groups" function is very handy because on the main page (as you can see below) you can start a topic of conversation and group members can respond. I am hoping to grow this group to a big enough size that we can have some good exchanges of ideas. Please note... the topics you see on the main page are NOT the only ones... those are just the most recently updated. Click on "view all topics" and you will see there are several more strings you may want to comment on!
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NOT USED TO THE "GROUPS" FEATURE ON MYSPACE - You don't get notified on your home page if there's a new post. You actually have to click the "Groups" link on your home page and then check from there. Kind of a pain, but that's how it works.
PLEASE NOTE: This group is open to all recruiters. HOWEVER, I set it as "private" where I have to approve members, ONLY because I have been in other Myspace groups and know how many spammers are out there. By approving all members, it will help to minimize that. |
