Roleplaying monkeys (ex-Dsr) is a crew of breakers, DJ's, and graf artists from the South Coast. It was formed in October 2004 when Arj met Charlee (Footloose) at uni. Dean later hooked up with them through their common interest: BREAKDANCING.
Arj's long term friend and teacher, Sasha, from the Floor Crusaders helped set off the crew by training with them and helping them out with performances. Towards the end of the year, Roleplaying monkeys(ex-dsr) came together as a society in 2005 to kick off the breaking scene in university.
The crew's first show was in LUX at the union, where Roleplaying Monkeys (ex-Dsr) teamed up with the dance club. By the end of the term shows and jams went down in other clubs in Portsmouth and various venues in Chichester and Brighton.
Engin later started training and performing with Roleplaying Monkeys (ex-dsr) after meeting Arj just before summer '05. The latest formation of Roleplaying monkeys (ex-dsr) includes the breakers: A.K, FootLoose, Spin Matrix, Engin,Sasha,Ugin,Chenli. DJ Mute on the decks, and Al the graf artist. This year Roleplaying monkeys (ex-dsr), as the University of Portsmouth breakdance club is going to bring together students interested in breakdancing, with the aim of performing shows in the future.
