WHAT IS USMC HANGOUT AND HOW DID IT START?
In early 2001 the then Bridget Stinson now Bridget Ware created USMC Hangout on Yahoo Clubs as a place for Marines and their families to just Hangout and to give and receive support through other Marine families and friends. In August 2001 the club was converted to a Yahoo Group.
We have since grown into what you see today. We established the USMC HANGOUT website in October of 2003 as a way of expanding our Group and offering more information to our members or anyone else interested in the Marine Corps. We currently have over 200 pages of information, message boards, buddy locater, chat rooms, and an arcade. We still continue to grow on a daily basis and strive to be the best site out there. We listen to what our members and viewers want to see and strive to answer each and every e-mail sent to us.
Bridget Ware now lives in Savannah, GA where her husband is stationed at Hunter AAF. Although her husband is now in the Army (she calls it technical difficulties) she is very much still a Marine Wife and still owns and operates USMC Hangout along with her volunteers that have stepped in to help with the daily load. She as well as her husband both have MySpace pages and welcome all members to add them as a friend (she is the ..1 on the Hangout Friends list).
