Designer-Direction is a creative hub to help, grow, and support New Zealand Fashion Designers that may be at any stage of their business. We also welcome those from any other aspect of the industry from supplier, web designer, store owner, pr company, model agency basically anyone that can contribute to our forum is welcome!
It is a place where you can ask questions and get responses or feedback from people who have been there 'done that'.
Questions like -
"What streetwear stores do you recommend I sell my garments in, in Dunedin?"
"Help! I need a patterndrafter in the Manawatu region!"
"Heads up on exporting please"
"Stockist from Hell...What do I do now?!?!"
Designer-Direction brings together designers that may be at the 'conceptual' stage of their business or could already be exporting internationally. So don't be afraid to ask any questions- trust us we have probably all been there!
Designer-Direction also encourages and celebrates achievement within the industry whether it be coming third, first or nowhere in a design competition. Perhaps you have released your first range or collection. We want to hear all about it. Post pictures and tell us your story!
The NZ Fashion Industry is growing at an exponential rate and we want to help our designers to create awesome profitable businesses!
